Happy Earth Day!!! Give-a-way #1

Happy Earth Day!  I have a few give-a-ways planned for today and I have also started a couple of auctions at Tree Hugger (www.treehuggerclothpads.com) to help raise money to find a cure for Diabetes.

This first give-a-way is for a mini reversible Hybrid Hugger pantyliner.  This liner is a custom size at only 5.25" long and has super soft minky on one side and silky smooth bamboo velour on the other.  It is so thin and so beautiful!

To be entered to win you must post to this blog comment letting me know what your ideal cloth pad stash would be.  How many of each size?  Minky or Bamboo Velour (or both like the Hybrid pantyliners)?  A winner will be drawn on Tuesday morning.

  1. My ideal cloth stash would be 5 pantiliners, 5 regular/light pads, 3 heavy pads, and 3 overnight pads. I am a newbie to cloth pads so I would choose an assortment of both minky and bamboo velour.
Ps I have purchased the regular pads in owl design and can't wait to receive them in the mail! Your designs are super cute!

  15. I'm just starting out with cloth and am not sure what the perfect stash would be. Probably about 10 pantyliners? and a few regular flow pads? I've never tried bamboo velour or minky. Just regular cotton in another brand. I'd love to try some other options.

  21. I don't know what my peftect stash would be because I haven't tried the Minky or Bamboo Velour yet. I do prefer liners though to use as a back up for my DivaCup.

  25. Idealy I would love 8-10 panty liners, 8-10 light flow, 8-10 heavy flow pads. I would almost like 50 altogether as sometimes you need more depending upon how many you go through and change through in a day.

    Thank you for the chance!

  26. Since I wear mine with a cup or sponge...my ideal stash would be 10 pantyliner or light flow pads....2-3 regulars and probably 1 overnight. I would probably get more overnights eventually but that would be my ideal start.

  27. I'm still trying to figure out what my perfect stash would be. It would likely be mostly, if not all, pantiliners and light day pads to use as back-ups for my Diva. I'm torn between minky and OBV though. My understanding is that minky is more stain resistant, but I love the dyed OBV too.

  28. I just started with cloth and am slowly building my stash... I have no idea how many I will need yet but I think I'm aiming for 30-40 since I only do laundry once every week or two and boyfriend isn't too keen on my washing them with the regular laundry yet... I haven't used Minky so I'm not sure if I will like it, but I adore the Bamboo Velour pads that I have so far. I also like flannel.

  29. I am just getting started really, but I think 6 pantyliners, 6 heavy pads, and a dozen regular pads.

  30. Having none yet my ideal stash would be a 8-10 panty liners, 8-10 light flow, 8-10 heavy flow pads as well as a whole bunch of post-partum pads. If we have another baby I'd LOVE to use tree-hugger pads instead of the sposies.

  39. I have not tried cloth yet I am pregnant now and due in June so Im not quite sure on how many I would need in a stash. The minkys sound great and so do the bamboo velour . I know I would need some postpartum pads some regular and heavy in thong if you make those and some liners as well. I am working on building my daughters cloth diapers stash right now but as soon as I have got a good amount I hope to start on my stash :)

  40. Hmmmm I actually have no clue. I want something really breathable since it's getting really hot here already. I would love a few more medium and heavy flows. Since switching to MC, my periods have gotten lighter so I don't need as many as I use to : )

  41. I'm loving reading these replies because that's been my dilemma trying to figure out what kind of stash to order I always over think things.... I'm looking at the difference between the minky and bamboo and which better fits my needs etc... maybe I need to just call in?

    1. Hi Angeena, Minky is a fabric made from polyester so it doesn't stain and is super, super soft. Minky also stays looking and feeling like new after years of use. Bamboo velour is a silkier smooth fabric and is an organic natural fiber which some people prefer. It can stain but you can use stain removers or just get dark colors if stains are a concern. I personally like and use both kinds of fabric for myself.

I love Minky pads!! I would definitely use about 3 or 4 more pantyliners (I have 4 now) and 4 more regular/light flow pads (I have 4). I would love to have 2 more overnight pads too. I've never tried the hybrid pads, but they sound great!
